Lemon Pecan Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 well-beaten egg
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    2 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add lemon juice and rind. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in nut meats. Shape in rolls. Wrap in waxed paper and chill thoroughly. Slice very thin. Bake on greased cookie sheet in oven (350\u00b0) for 12 to 15 minutes.
