Seafoam Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can pears (drain and reserve juice)
    1 large pkg. lime Jell-O
    1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
    1 pint whipping cream
    1 cup boiling water
Preparation
    With fork, in 9 x 13 pyrex dish, mash together pears and cream cheese until it resembles cottage cheese.
    In small bowl, dissolve Jell-O with 1 cup boiling water.
    Add 1/2 cup of reserved pear juice.
    Cool.
    Add cooled Jell-O to cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until soft set.
    Whip the cream in small bowl and add to soft set Jell-O, blending well.
    Set until firm.
    Serve on lettuce leaves.
    Serves 6 to 8.
