Apple Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    cinnamon
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    4 tsp. baking powder
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    6 to 8 apples, peeled and diced
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening as for pie crust.
    Add milk and mix.
    Roll out about 1/4-inch thick on floured surface.
    Spread apples over dough.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Roll up as for jelly roll.
    Cut into 12 slices and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Boil 1 1/2 cups sugar and 2 cups water.
    Pour over rolls.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until brown. Serve with whipped cream.
