Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. cubed potatoes
    2 c. beef broth
    1 qt. canned tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 bay leaf
    1/8 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain fat.
    Add onion and brown slightly.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boil.
    Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Remove bay leaf.
