Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large or 24 small cucumbers
    6 large onions
    1/2 c. pickling salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and onion; cover with pickling salt.
    Let stand for 2 hours; drain.
    Mix remaining ingredients together and boil.
    Add cucumbers and onions and cook until they turn color.
