Minute Penuche Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place in saucepan brown sugar, milk, shortening and salt. Bring slowly to full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread.
    If frosting becomes too thick, thin with 1 tablespoon cream.
