Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. Karo
    1 c. raw peanuts
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and Karo in a heavy skillet until it will spin a thread.
    Add peanuts and cook until they make a popping sound.
    Take off heat and add oleo and soda.
    Stir well.
    Spread on a greased cookie sheet.
    When cooled, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
