Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 apples (yellow preferred)
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 large Cool Whip
    nuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    Cook pineapple, sugar and flour until thick; remove from heat and cool.
    When mixture cools, fold chopped apples into it and spread in a casserole dish.
    Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
