Ingredients

1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3 c. quick-cooking oats
1/2 c. coconut (optional)
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine sugar, cocoa, margarine and milk in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches a slow boil.
Cook 2 additional minutes.
Remove from heat; add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
Stir in oats (nuts and coconut) and vanilla.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
Cool.
