Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco plus 1 Tbsp. margarine
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    3 large bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cream the sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add milk. Alternate dry ingredients and bananas.
    Last add nuts, beating well. This makes 1 sheet pan or two loaf pans. Grease pans. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
    Bananas are better if real ripe.
