Prairieland Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. pot roast
    8 oz. bottle French dressing
    4 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
    8 small onions
    4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. water
    salt
    1/2 c. water
    pepper
Preparation
    Season meat with salt and pepper.
    Brown in 1/4 cup dressing in Dutch oven over low heat; add remaining dressing and water.
    Cover; simmer 2 hours.
    Add onion, carrots and potatoes.
    Cover and continue simmering 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender. Remove meat and vegetables.
    Add flour to water; add this to stock where meat has cooked; stir constantly until thickens.
    Serve this with meat and vegetables.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
