Russian Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter (do not melt)
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. finely chopped almonds
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix butter, sugar and vanilla.
    Stir flour, salt and nuts together.
    With hands, work in flour mixture until dough holds together.
    Form dough into 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set, but not brown.
    While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
    Cool; roll in sugar again.
    Makes 4 dozen 1-inch cookies.
