Old Fashioned Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. coarsely chopped dates (optional)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl.
Pour into greased and floured cake pan, 9 x 13-inch or Bundt pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Cool on cake rack.
Serve plain or with a light lemon glaze.
