Grandma'S Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
2 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
4 1/2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
1 c. butter (Judges 5:25)
2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
1 c. milk (Judges 4:19)
2 Tbsp. honey (1 Samuel 14:25)
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder (Amos 4:5)
4 eggs (Jeremiah 17:11)
1/4 tsp. salt (Leviticus 2:13)
2 tsp. spices (2 Chronicles 9:9; nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves)

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add beaten egg yolks, honey, milk and 3 cups of flour which has been sifted with spices and baking powder.
Use the remaining flour to flour the fruit.
Add beaten egg whites before fruit and flour is added.
Add floured mixed fruit.
Bake in a greased and floured pan for 60 minutes at 350\u00b0 until done.
