Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head lettuce-shredded (6 cups)
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. chopped or sliced onion
1 can (16 oz.) small green peas (drained)
1 to 1 1/2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing or mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
8 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
Preparation

Arrange lettuce in bottom of salad bowl, then in layers, add celery, green pepper, onion, peas. Spread salad dressing or mayonnaise over layer of peas. Sprinkle sugar, then put cheddar cheese over mayonnaise. Refrigerate overnight. Just before serving, sprinkle bacon on top.
