Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
4 c. thinly sliced onions
5 c. beef bouillon or broth
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Preheat frypan.
Melt butter.
Add onions and saute until almost tender.
Add remaining ingredients, except broth.
When well blended, transfer to soup pan.
Add beef broth.
Continue to cook on low heat for about 30 minutes.
To serve, place toast round in soup bowl and sprinkle with cheese.
Pour soup into bowl.
Serve immediately.
