Stevie C'S Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 8 apples
    2 c. sugar (can use 1 c. white and 1 c. brown)
    2 c. flour
    2 sticks butter
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. oats
Preparation
    Slice apples and arrange in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix remaining ingredients into a crumb consistency.
    Put 2 tablespoons of water in with apples.
    Pour crumb mixture over apples.
    Poke some of the crumbs down around apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour, until apples are soft.
    Serve warm and topped with ice cream, if you desire.
