Fragrant Basil Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 lb. butter or margarine
3/4 c. plain yogurt
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. chopped basil
Preparation

Hold aside 2 tablespoons of cheese.
Blend remaining dry ingredients together.
Hold aside 1 tablespoon of butter.
Cut remaining 7 tablespoons of butter into dry mixture to form coarse crumbs.
Stir in basil.
Add yogurt, until dough clings together in lumps.
Form a ball with your hands; knead on a board until dough holds together.
Roll dough into a log form; slice to make 7 equal pieces.
Place one piece of dough in the center of a buttered 8-inch round cake pan.
Surround center piece with remaining pieces evenly.
Brush with reserved butter; sprinkle with reserved cheese.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
