Luscious Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. oleo
1/4 c. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. cold water
6 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. milk
1 egg white, stiffly beaten
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and oleo.
Cook until sugar dissolves. Add cornstarch that has been blended with cold water.
Cook slowly until clear, 8 minutes.
Add lemon juice and grated peel.
Cook 2 minutes.
Slowly add the egg yolks beaten with the 2 tablespoons of milk.
Bring to a boil.
Cool.
Fold the egg whites into filling.
Pour into pie shell and top with meringue.
