Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    grated rind of 1 orange
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    boiling water
    1 whole egg, well beaten
    1 c. whole raw cranberries
Preparation
    Mix together the first 6 ingredients.
    Put in a measuring cup the orange juice, melted butter and enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup liquid.
    Add this liquid to the well beaten egg.
    Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients.
    Mix well, then stir in the cranberries.
    Bake in greased and floured pan at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Makes 1 regular size loaf. This is best if not cut for 24 hours.
    It mellows with age.
    Freezes well.
