Baked Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. finely chopped dried apricots
    1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    2 large ripe pears
    1/4 c. maple syrup
Preparation
    In a small bowl, combine apricots and pecans.
    Use fork to mash 1 tablespoon margarine into fruit.
    Set aside.
    Cut pears in half. Dip out core, leaving 1/2-inch hole in each piece.
    Place in a 9-inch square baking dish.
    Fill each pear with apricot mixture. In measuring cup:
    place syrup and remaining 3 tablespoons of margarine, melted.
    Microwave until pears are tender.
    Baste at least once.
    (Or bake in conventional oven.)
