Island Sweet And Sour Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. chopped onions
1 c. soft bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. green pepper strips
1/2 c. bottled barbecue sauce
1 lb. ground beef-textured vegetable protein mixture
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
1 (8 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
3/4 tsp. salt
hot cooked rice
Preparation

Mix egg, crumbs, onion, milk and salt.
Add meat.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place meatballs with shortening in skillet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 in oven to brown.
On top of stove, in same skillet, drain off fat.
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
Set pineapple aside.
Add water to syrup to make 3/4 cup.
