Economy Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. water
1 pkg. seedless raisins
3 scant c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
1 Tbsp. wine (optional)
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs

Preparation

Boil water, raisins and fruit for 5 minutes.
Add sugar, shortening and spices. Cool overnight.
