Pepparkakor(Swedish Ginger Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. brown sugar (packed)
    3/4 c. shortening
    2/3 c. molasses (dark)
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. salt
    Parlsocker (Swedish sugar)*
Preparation
    Beat together sugar and shortening.
    Add molasses and blend well.
    Add egg and continue mixing until egg is thoroughly blended. Mix 5 dry ingredients in a bowl and then sift into molasses mixture.
    Chill at least one hour or overnight.
