Fig Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. figs
    1 c. honey
    1 egg
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. sour milk
    1 c. nut meats
Preparation
    Cut raisins and figs into small pieces.
    Cream shortening with honey until fluffy.
    Add beaten egg; sift dry ingredients with
    milk;
    add
    nuts
    and fruits.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour 15 minutes.
    Makes 1 loaf.
