Grated Potato Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. potatoes, peeled, washed and grated
    1 onion, chopped fine
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    oil to cover bottom of pan
Preparation
    Mix together potatoes, onion, egg, flour and salt.
    Heat oil in pan.
    Drop potato mixture into pan, using a large spoon.
    Brown cakes on one side.
    Flatten with spoon.
    Turn and brown on other side.
