Jersey Shore Cioppino - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    4 to 6 garlic cloves, crushed
    2 c. onions, chopped
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. parsley, chopped
    1 (20 oz.) can plum tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    2 c. dry red wine
    1/4 tsp. each: oregano and basil
    2 lb. fish, cut in good size pieces*
Preparation
    *Halibut or snapper or 2 pounds shellfish (any combination of clams, hard shell crabs' legs, shelled shrimp, oysters, etc.).
