Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco (shortening)
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, 1 at a time.
Add dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with flour and vanilla. Pour into greased tube pan.
Bake in cold oven to start and place foil over pan for 1/2 hour, then remove foil and bake the other 30 minutes.
Bake at 325\u00b0.
Total baking time is 1 hour.
