Ingredients

1/2 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. regular raisins
1/2 c. dry white wine or sherry
6 medium-size Red Delicious or Rome apples, peeled, cored, quartered and chopped fine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Soak regular raisins in wine for an hour or so.
Drain and set aside.
Combine apples, sugar, margarine, drained wine, lemon juice, nutmeg and cinnamon in a large saucepan.
Place over medium heat.
Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes until thickened.
Stir in raisins and cook 1 more minute until heated through.
Serve with pork, chicken, turkey or ham.
Yields 3 1/2 cups.
