Easy Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. grated American cheese
    4 Tbsp. cold shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add cheese.
    Cut in shortening and add milk to make soft dough.
    Place on a floured board.
    Knead lightly for a few seconds, using as little flour as possible. Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with floured biscuit cutter.
    Place on a greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 12 minutes. Makes 14 biscuits.
