Penoche Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a medium size cooking pan, add all ingredients at one time. Stir over low heat and bring to a full boil, stirring constantly. Time 1 minutes after start of boiling.
    Remove from heat and beat until it reaches a good spreading consistency.
    Add a little vanilla.
    Very good for your favorite chocolate cake.
    Covers a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
