Christmas Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 large tomatoes
    10 medium onions
    1/2 c. salt
    10 large green bell peppers
    2 c. celery
    hot pepper (if desired)
    banana peppers (may add, if you like)
Preparation
    In food processor, chop vegetables.
    Allow to stand 2 1/2 hours after salting.
    Drain excess juice (save for soup stock). Boil together 4 cups sugar, 3 cups vinegar and 1 ounce mustard seed.
    Pour hot liquid over tomato mix.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Pack into jars.
    Boil filed jars upside-down until sealed, about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Good with meats or vegetables.
