Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    3 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. berries with juice
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift flour and dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Add berries and vanilla; mix well. Bake in an oblong pan for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
