Candied Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 lb. Dromedary dates, pinched and halved
4 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries, well drained
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 lb. pecan halves
Preparation

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a very large bowl. Mix the dates and cherries into the flour mixture and mix until well coated.
Beat the eggs until frothy and slowly add the sugar. Pour on the fruit and mix well.
Add the pecan halves with hands and pack into 3 bread pans that are well greased or make 8 little loaves.
Bake 1 1/4 hours at 275\u00b0.
