Confederate Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stew beef
    4 large or 8 small carrots
    4 medium apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash nutmeg
Preparation
    Cut carrots in small circles and boil while preparing apples. Peel and slice apples.
    Drain carrots and combine with apples. Mix in sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    Mix well, and beef.
    Cook in a Crock Pot 5-6 hours on high, serves 4.
