Ingredients

1/2 c. hominy grits
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. butter
3 beaten eggs
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped almonds
Preparation

Prepare grits in salted, boiling water as directed on package. Stir in sugar and butter.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla to the mixture.
Fold in the raisins and almonds.
Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
Bake in preheated slow oven at 325\u00b0 for approximately 50 minutes.
May serve hot or cold.
Garnish with whipped topping if desired.
