Elaine'S Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 c. green bell pepper, chopped
1 c. green onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
1 small pkg. frozen green peas, do not cook
2 c. mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 slices cooked crisp bacon
Preparation

In a 9 x 13-inch casserole, layer the lettuce, bell pepper, green onion, celery and peas.
Spread as a layer the mayonnaise, sugar and Cheddar cheese.
Crumble crisp bacon on top.
Make a day ahead and store in refrigerator.
Serves 10 to 12.
