Ingredients

1 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients; mix well.
Stir in remaining ingredients plus a dash of cinnamon, if desired.
Drop by 1/2 teaspoon 3 inches apart onto aluminum foil-lined cookie sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0
for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are brown.
Cool completely before removing.
Yields about 6 1/2 dozen.
