Pickle Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. green beans (for each qt.)
    3 tsp. pickling salt (for each qt.)
Preparation
    Wash green beans; snap.
    Use clean sterile jars.
    (Full beans are best.)
    Add 1 teaspoon salt to each quart jar.
    Cook beans with just enough water to cover beans, using cold water.
    Cook beans just until tender.
    Don't overcook.
    Drain off water.
    Cool beans.
