2 2/3 c. (7oz.) flaked coconut
1 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. coconut extract
1 egg
1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cornstarch
Preparation

Toast coconut and almonds on a cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 4 to 6 minutes.
Cream butter and white and brown sugars until light.
Add vanilla and coconut extracts.
Beat in egg.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch.
Stir into butter mixture, using a spoon rather than a mixer.
Add coconut and almonds.
