Ingredients

1 box vanilla wafers
4 to 5 ripe bananas
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
3 egg yolks (save whites)
2 c. milk
2 c. water
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour.
Add egg yolks, milk, water, butter and vanilla.
Cook on medium high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
Crumble vanilla wafers onto bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
Add sliced bananas on top of wafers.
Pour pudding mixture on top of bananas.
Beat egg whites until fluffy. Add 1/2 cup sugar until thick.
Pour on top of pudding.
Cook in oven at 350\u00b0 until light brown on top.
