Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    juice of 1 orange
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sour milk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped raisins
    orange rind, chopped
Preparation
    Add 1/2 cup sugar to juice of 1 orange; mix well and let stand.
    Soak raisins.
    Add orange rind; put this mixture through food chopper or food processor.
    Mix shortening, rest of sugar, eggs, sour milk (add 1 tablespoon vinegar to sweet milk), flour, baking soda, vanilla and the chopped raisins.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a fluted or tube pan.
    Pour juice and sugar over cake while hot.
