Mint Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    food coloring
    1/2 tsp. mint flavoring
    1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes before using.
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add salt and cream of tartar; beat until stiff.
    Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating constantly. Add coloring (your choice) and flavoring.
    Mix.
    Fold in chocolate chips.
    Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
    Place in oven and turn the oven off.
    Let stand in oven overnight or at least 5 hours.
    Store in airtight containers.
