Cowboy Beans - The Right Way! - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried pinto beans
    2 1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. picante sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 6 oz. can tomato paste
Preparation
    Thoroughly wash and pick over beans, (be sure to get out all those little pieces of gravel) then put the beans in a mixing bowl. Drown them real good in cold water and let em' soak overnight (that'll soften em' up some).
