Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, lightly salted
3/4 c. white/light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 c. walnuts/pecans; chopped
1/2 tsp. lemon rind, grated
2 Tbsp. water, hot
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. bananas, mashed
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease two 9x5x3 loaf pans.
Mix flour with baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in pecans, lemon rind, and mashed bananas.
Add four mixture, 1/2 c. at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in water and vanilla pour into prepared pans.
Bake 55-60 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
Remove bread from pan and put on wire cake rack.
Cool completely.
