Busy-Day Cheese Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    6 to 8 oz. Cheddar cheese, cut to 1/2-inch cubes
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water with sugar and salt in a bowl.
    Add shortening, egg and half the flour.
    Beat until mixed.
    Add remaining flour.
    Mix until smooth.
    Stir in cheese.
    Let rise, covered, in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
    Divide into 12 portions.
    Place in greased muffin cups.
    Bake in a preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
