Oatmeal Raisin Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. quick oats (not instant)
    1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 Tbsp. honey
    2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
    2 large eggs
    1 1/2 c. (8 oz.) raisins
    1/2 c. (2 oz.) walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    In a medium bowl, combine flour, soda, salt and oats.
    Mix well with wire whisk and set aside.
    In a large bowl, blend sugar with electric mixer set at medium speed.
    Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste.
    Scrape down sides of bowl, then add honey, vanilla and eggs.
    Mix at medium speed until fully combined.
    Add the flour mixture, raisins and walnuts and blend at low speed just until combined.
    Do not overmix.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.
    Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool flat surface.
