Holiday Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
    Dash of Tabasco sauce
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    3 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen French-style green beans (cooked and drained)
    1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms
    1 can (4 oz.) sliced water chestnuts
    1 jar chopped pimentos
    1 c. chopped almonds
Preparation
    Saut onion in butter.
    Add flour, then milk; cook and stir until smooth.
    Stir in cheese, Tabasco, soy sauce, pepper and salt.
    Cook until cheese melts (stirring frequently to prevent scorching).
    Add beans, mushrooms, sliced water chestnuts and pimentos.
