Fettucini With Sausage, Red Pepper And Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hot Italian sausage
    4 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 medium onion, halved and cut in 1/4-inch slices
    3 red bell peppers, cut in 1/4-inch strips
    12 oz. mushrooms, thinly sliced
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 c. heavy cream
    1 lb. fettucini noodles (homemade preferred)
    1 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Remove casing from the sausage; break into very small pieces. In large skillet, cook sausage 5 to 7 minutes or until brown. Remove sausage from pan; drain.
    Heat olive oil in skillet; add onion.
    Cook until translucent.
    Lower heat; add red peppers, mushrooms and garlic.
    Cook 7 to 9 minutes or until peppers and mushrooms are tender.
    Add sausage to this mixture and cook together on low heat 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
