Oreo Cookie Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) pkg. Oreo cookies
    1/3 c. melted butter
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream (may also use chocolate)
Preparation
    Mix together cookie crumbs and butter.
    Pat 2/3 of crumbs into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Keep 1/3 crumbs for top.
    Beat together the pudding and milk until very thick.
    Add the softened ice cream and beat together until well blended.
    Pour pudding mixture over the crumbs.
    Spread Cool Whip over the pudding mixture and top with remaining crumbs.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Serves 20.
